Introducing the New Rescale Platform Experience

A redesigned interface that introduces new capabilities for data intelligence, and agentic workflows, and AI Physics on Rescale’s expanded platform.

Engineering workflows don’t stand still. Over the past several years, the scale of simulation work running on Rescale has grown dramatically: more jobs, more data, more teams collaborating across disciplines. The tools you use to manage that work need to keep pace. That’s why we’ve rebuilt the Rescale platform experience from the ground up.

The new Rescale experience, now available to all users, replaces the classic top-navigation interface with a unified, sidebar-driven environment designed around three goals: speed, scalability, and intelligence. Whether you’re managing a handful of jobs or thousands of concurrent simulations, the interface stays responsive and puts your most important work within reach.

A New Interface Built for How Engineers Work

The new experience is the result of extensive beta testing and direct customer feedback. Users told us they needed fewer clicks to reach common tasks, clearer orientation when working inside complex projects, and an interface that stayed fast even at scale. We took that feedback seriously. The updated design consolidates navigation, improves responsiveness across large workspaces, and introduces a layout that keeps your most important tools visible without cluttering the screen. Every refinement, from how you browse projects to how you switch between views, was shaped by how real engineering teams use Rescale every day.

Launch, organize, and review jobs from a modern interface designed for speed, scalability, and intelligence.

Workspace Folders: File Organization That Mirrors Your Team

Prior to introducing workspace folders, organizing work on Rescale relied on resource tags and flat lists. That approach works at a small scale, but it breaks down when you’re managing hundreds of jobs across multiple programs. Workspace folders introduce true hierarchical organization structure, nested folders that you can organize by department, project phase, milestone, or however your team actually works.

Bulk management makes cleanup fast: select multiple jobs or workstations and move, tag, or archive them in a single action. And because folders support granular sharing permissions, you can give specific users or groups access to an entire project structure without exposing unrelated work. Resource tags still remain fully active and searchable across all folders, so you can layer cross-functional categorization on top of your folder hierarchy.

Rescale Data Intelligence: Turn Raw Outputs to Engineering Insight

Running simulations is only half the challenge. Making sense of the data they produce, across thousands of runs, multiple solvers, and distributed teams, is where engineering organizations often lose time. Rescale Data Intelligence is a centralized hub designed to turn raw simulation outputs into searchable, actionable assets.

Search, analyze, and reason over your entire simulation history and engineering systems of record.

Rescale Assistant allows engineers to query engineering and operational data in natural language, cutting through the noise of files that are often labeled inconsistently or spread across various directories. But Rescale Assistant isn’t just for engineers. Administrators and engineering managers can use it to pull billing summaries, track resource consumption across projects and teams, and generate utilization reports, all through simple conversational queries. Tasks that previously required hours of manual data gathering, spreadsheet manipulation, and cross-referencing across admin portals can now be completed in minutes. For organizations running large-scale HPC workloads, this translates directly into significant time savings for the people responsible for cost tracking, capacity planning, and internal chargebacks.

Beyond Rescale Assistant, automated metadata extraction tags your simulation files with key engineering parameters, so you can search by performance criteria instead of filename. Data connectors integrate your existing systems of record for centralized access, and the drag-and-drop workflow builder allows you to chain modeling, simulation, and data processing steps into repeatable, automated pipelines.

AI Physics: Explore More Designs in Less Time

Rescale AI Physics brings machine learning directly into the Rescale platform, giving your team a dedicated space to train surrogate models on high-fidelity simulation data and deploy them for near-instant inference. The practical impact is significant: instead of waiting hours or days for a full-fidelity run, you can explore broad design spaces in seconds using deployed surrogates, then selectively validate promising candidates with traditional solvers. Rescale AI Physics supports hybrid workflows that combine classical CFD or FEA with AI models, enabling real-time “what-if” exploration during early design phases when speed matters most.

AI-guided design space exploration determines optimal configurations with far less time and computation required.

The Transition From the Classic Rescale UI

We’ve designed this transition to be as smooth as possible. You can currently toggle between the new experience and the classic UI at any time via the sidebar. However, it’s important to note that the classic Rescale UI is scheduled for sunset later this year (expected in May 2026). New capabilities, including Rescale Data Intelligence and Rescale AI Physics, available as separate products, are developed exclusively for the new interface. Contact us for a demo of the newest capabilities and innovations coming soon.

We strongly encourage you to make the switch now and familiarize yourself and your team with the updated navigation. If you encounter issues or have suggestions, the Submit Feedback button in the sidebar sends your input directly to our product team.
