Product Release Recap – Q2 2025

Explore Rescale's recent platform innovations, including new AI-driven simulation data analysis and enhanced cost management features for HPC and AI workflows

The second quarter of 2025 brought new R&D to the Rescale platform, particularly in enhancing cost management, simulation data analysis, and AI-enhanced methods. These improvements aim to deliver greater visibility, control, and efficiency. This blog provides a summary of some of the quarter’s biggest features and enhancements.

Data-Driven Simulation Analysis and Decision Making

As part of the beta release of Rescale Data, Rescale has launched several new features. Rescale Data is designed to democratize access to simulation insights, automate data processing, and accelerate decision-making for engineers.

Key Innovations:

  • Rescale Assistant for Conversational Data Analysis: This new integrated analysis tool allows users to interact with simulation data using natural language, receive intelligent job summaries, and generate flexible data visualizations. It addresses the challenges of analyzing vast and specialized simulation data, reducing manual processing and facilitating streamlined hand-offs and collaborative decisions. Users can ask questions, search across jobs, studies, and projects, and compare performance metrics. The Assistant also provides AI-powered overviews of job results, highlighting key findings and potential hardware-software configuration issues. Learn more in the release note

  • Automations for Metadata Extraction: Rescale Automations automatically extract and associate relevant metadata with each simulation job, contextualizing workloads and the generated data. This streamlined process eliminates the need for manual data handling, ensuring data is prepped for advanced analysis tools. Examples of available automations include popular software like Siemens STAR-CCM+ and Ansys Fluent. Learn more in the blog post
  • Job Summaries: This feature provides AI-powered overviews of simulation job results, highlighting key findings and potential hardware-software configuration issues from job logs and output files. It extracts and condenses large, complex logs into concise, structured reports, making it easier to interpret and act upon results. This feature is seamlessly accessible within the job submission experience. Learn more in the blog post

Cost Management and Financial Visibility for HPC and AI

Rescale upgraded its cost management and billing features, providing users with more granular control and granular insights into their expenditures.

Key Enhancements:

  • Budgeting with Charge Types: The Cost Budgets feature now allows users to specify and track budgets by charge type , including “All” , “Software” (on-demand license charges) , “Compute” (compute and IP address charges), and “Compute & License” (computing, IP address, Rescale platform, and workstation license charges). This ensures teams have necessary resources and helps prevent consumption overruns. Learn more in the release note
  • Monthly Charge Insights: The Economics Dashboard now displays all monthly charges, including Compute, Rescale Platform, On-demand Software License, Storage & Transfer, and Other Charges, providing a more comprehensive view for expense management and informed decision-making. Learn more in the release note.
Economics Dashboard now shows full-stack spend details on a monthly basis
  • Compute Usage Budgets and Tracking: The new Core Hours budget feature enables tracking compute usage by monitoring core hours consumed by jobs, workstations, and high performance storage (HPS) devices. This is particularly useful for cost-neutral scenarios such as On-demand Reserved (ODR) Compute, Bring Your Own Compute (BYOC) deployments, and Hybrid deployments. Both Cost and Core Hour budgets can be set simultaneously for the same target. Learn more in the release note
  • Budgets API for Programmatic Financial Control: The new Budgets API allows administrators and users to create, manage, and monitor budgets programmatically, with full parity to the Rescale platform UI. Ideal for fast-growing organizations, it supports centralized budget control, self-service financial management, and integration with internal tools or workflows. Organization and workspace admins can manage budgets across teams and projects, while individual users have full control over their own budget settings. Learn more in the release note.
