Company License Proxy Enhancements and Updates
New features and updated pricing for our popular Company License Proxy (CLP) services have been released, effective immediately. CLPs provide Rescale customers a seamless integrated solution for managing cloud-based HPC software that requires access to on-premises license servers. CLP services are administered from the Rescale administration portal, and provide license queuing for submitted jobs to optimize utilization of commercially licensed HPC software packages and applications.
New Company License Proxy Offering
Rescale has introduced significant enhancements to the Company License Proxy (CLP), providing greater reliability, scalability, and control for managing access to on-premises license servers from cloud-based HPC workloads. These updates also bring advanced features and extended support on Rescale’s high-compliance FedRAMP platform, ensuring optimal license utilization and robust performance across a wide range of applications.
Key New Features
- Expanded Capacity: Larger capacity configurations deliver up to a 10x improvement in license network traffic management, enabling users to handle high-demand workloads with ease.
- Auto-Recovery: Enhanced self-recovery features automatically restore CLPs from unresponsive states, ensuring minimal disruption to workflows.
- Improved Health Checks: Real-time health checks provide greater visibility, enabling quick identification and resolution of potential issues.
- Enhanced License Caching: Optimized caching reduces traffic loads and improves response times, ensuring faster access to essential license resources.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Improved monitoring and threshold based alerts for CLP performance, allowing for proactive measures to be taken if CLPs enter an undesirable state.
Deprecation of Previous CLP Offerings
With the new CLP configuration offerings, Rescale is also announcing the planned end of support for older configurations of CLPs in use twelve (12) months from this announcement date. Rescale will reach out to existing customers for planning migrations from old to new CLP configurations over the next 12 months. After the 12 month notice period for end of support, by December 22nd 2025, any CLPs running with old configurations that are not covered under an active agreement with Rescale will automatically be upgraded to the latest version.
