Compute Classes Now Generally Available

Compute Classes, available to all Rescale customers, provide standard sets of hardware architectures for running jobs confidently and meeting various application requirements. As new architectures, or Coretypes on Rescale, are continually onboarded to the platform, Rescale experts update the infrastructure catalog by identifying the most efficient hardware-software configurations. With Rescale-managed Compute Classes, you can always leverage the latest and greatest infrastructure for your workloads without having to select or wait for specific coretypes.

The most used General Purpose Compute Class includes Coretypes suited for compute-intensive workloads. Compute Classes, such as the Large Memory Compute Class and the Large Disk Compute Class to fit your specific needs.

Getting Started Today

For new workloads, Compute Classes are automatically assigned based on your workload type. If it aligns with the General Purpose Compute Class, it will be selected by default. For existing workloads, you can manually choose the desired compute class from the Hardware Settings page. If you prefer a specific core type instead, simply select it from there.
