Important Update: Multi-Factor Authentication Requirement Starting November 15th, 2024

At Rescale, we continually evolve our security measures to protect your company’s data. To further strengthen our security posture and reduce the risk of breaches, we are introducing mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for users logging into Rescale without Single Sign-On (SSO). This change enhances the protection of your accounts, ensuring a secure user experience across the platform.

Effective November 15th, 2024, all Rescale users will be required to use MFA unless their organization uses SSO. Organization administrators can enable the MFA requirement in organization settings sooner.

What’s changing:

  • Mandatory MFA: Starting November 15th, all Rescale users must authenticate using MFA unless their organization leverages SSO for login.
  • Email MFA: In addition to authentication apps, we are adding email-based MFA as an alternative method.
  • Backup Codes: Users can also generate one-time backup codes to ensure they can always access their account, even without their usual MFA method.
  • Login & MFA Timeouts: Session durations will now be limited to 12 hours. Users may choose to remember devices for up to 14 days to reduce repeated prompts for MFA on trusted devices.
  • Admin Updates: The current MFA settings in the organization dashboard will be deprecated on November 15th, 2024, as MFA becomes mandatory for all users.

For more information on these updates and instructions for enabling MFA on your account, please refer to our updated MFA guide.

Your data security is our top priority, and the implementation of MFA is one of the most effective ways to protect it. Thank you for partnering with us to keep Rescale secure. For any questions or concerns, please contact us at [email protected].
