Software Publisher Enhancements – Sandbox Management, License Support, and Improved Software Tile Administration
Rescale Software Publisher, which provides customers an easy and integrated way to self-publish their own software on the Rescale platform, now offers the following new features (currently in Beta)::
- Suspend & Resume Sandboxes – Users can now suspend and resume publishing sandboxes, which are temporary work areas for building, testing, and publishing software to the Rescale platform. This new feature makes more efficient use of infrastructure resources and helps to prevent sandboxes from expiring before publishing work is complete.
- Publish Licensed Software – Rescale Software Publisher now allows customers to publish commercially licensed software, integrated with existing Rescale licenses services such as License Hosting and Company License Proxies (CLPs). A wide variety of vendor license software is supported for use with publishing.
- Improved Software Tile Administration – Customers can now delete entire software tiles or packages, including all existing versions, without having to separately remove each individual software version. This new feature makes users more productive and provides greater ease of use.
With these new features, Rescale adds additional capabilities and flexibility to bring a wide variety of software to Rescale’s HPC cloud platform, and leverage all of the advantages that HPC cloud computing offers.
