Storage Management and Reporting Enhancements

We’ve made it easier to monitor and manage your storage on Rescale with hourly storage usage updates, improved CSV downloads, and a more interactive usage table — all designed to help you stay in control and avoid surprises.

What’s New

Near Real-Time Storage Usage
  • Storage usage reports in the ‘Storage and Data Transfer Usage’ table now refresh at least once per hour, instead of the previous 1–2 day delay.
  • You’ll now see the exact date and time of the last update displayed directly above the Storage and Data Transfer Usage table — so you always know how current the data is.
  • Where You’ll See the Updates
    • Storage / Transfer Limits page
    • Platform APIs related to storage and transfer usage
Smarter Table Interactions
  • The Storage and Data Transfer Usage Table now supports sorting across all pages, making it easier to:
    • Identify users with the highest storage usage
    • Track monthly storage and transfer trends
    • Spot inactive or deactivated users (with the new Show deactivated users toggle)
  • Improved download speeds for CSV reports

Why It Matters

  • Stay informed: Know how much storage each user is consuming — almost in real time.
  • Take action sooner: Free up space before hitting limits.
  • Avoid surprises: Understand how storage and data transfer are distributed across your team.
  • Minimize job disruptions: With faster usage updates, users who hit storage limits will no longer be blocked from running jobs or uploading data for extended periods. You’ll be able to take corrective action quickly and continue with your work.
