Evolving the Modern Simulation Experience

At NAFEMS World Congress 2025 Rescale’s VP of Product Jacob Surber introduced a holistic framework designed to empower simulation engineers. Recognizing that engineering teams need a new approach to modeling and simulation to overcome product development challenges, Surber highlighted how increasing simulation complexity and time-to-market demands necessitate innovative technologies to address R&D bottlenecks, and that manual and siloed workflows hinder innovation.

Rescale presents a vision for a modernized simulation workflow built on three interconnected pillars: Compute, Data, and AI. This presentation introduced a framework that unifies compute orchestration, data management, and domain-specific AI in a continuous loop to advance simulation capabilities. Surber demonstrated how this workflow accelerates engineering breakthroughs and explored the scalability and cost-efficiency of cloud HPC. A significant highlight was the live demonstration of the new Rescale Assistant, a beta feature leveraging fine-tuned AI large language models (LLMs) to interact with simulation data, enabling natural language queries and real-time insights.
