License Proxy bridges your existing on-premises license server to the cloud through IP forwarding or an encrypted SSH tunnel, so jobs can check out licenses without ever moving them off-site. License Hosting lets you securely self-host your license files directly on the Rescale platform, with no on-premises server required. Both options support FlexLM, RLM, and LSTC license types, so IT teams can match whichever model fits their existing environment.
LICENSE QUEUING & OPTIMIZATION

Rescale’s license queuing holds a job in a pending state until the license features and token counts it needs are confirmed available, preventing wasted compute spend on jobs that would otherwise fail from a license shortage. Define AND/OR conditions across multiple license features for precise control, and set license caps to manage how many tokens Rescale jobs can check out at once. License queuing works across both License Proxy and License Hosting configurations, maximizing utilization on license servers.
