Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, refers to the current trend of automation, data exchange, and digitalization in manufacturing technologies. It introduces what has been called a “smart factory,” where cyber-physical systems monitor physical processes, create a virtual copy of the physical world, and make decentralized decisions. Key elements include the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and machine learning, all aimed at improving productivity, quality, and flexibility in the production process.
