Rescale Collaborates with NVIDIA and Microsoft to Bring Artificial Intelligence to Computational Engineering

Rescale, the leader in high performance computing (HPC) built for the cloud, is collaborating with NVIDIA and Microsoft to deliver HPC and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to help customers power engineering and scientific innovation through increased R&D efficiency.

This collaboration builds on Rescale’s existing relationships with Microsoft and NVIDIA. Rescale’s collaboration with Microsoft began in 2016 to transform how IT and R&D professionals across global enterprises approach computational science and engineering and run their HPC workloads. Rescale’s work with NVIDIA began in 2017 to help customers adopt GPU-powered solutions to accelerate HPC and AI workflows. The three-way collaboration further leverages each company’s leading technologies to deliver even greater value to a growing list of customers through a turnkey, full-stack, software-to-hardware HPC and AI platform solution that accelerates innovation.

“Engineers and scientists rely on Rescale to deliver the latest technologies to streamline digital design and engineering efficiency,” said Ethan Rasa, Senior Director of Corporate Development and Partnerships at Rescale, “NVIDIA and Microsoft are valued collaborators because they consistently have been first to market with critical products and services for HPC and AI customers.”

Simplify the Deployment of Advanced GPU-Optimized HPC and AI Applications

In just a few clicks, Rescale makes it easy to deploy and run advanced technologies using NVIDIA NGC for cutting-edge HPC and AI applications, pre-trained AI models, SDKs, and other workflows that are optimized for NVIDIA GPUs and leverage the near-infinite scaling of Microsoft Azure.

“The demand for accelerating AI-powered HPC applications is growing rapidly as organizations drive breakthroughs in innovation, but it’s not always easy for organizations to build, deploy and scale these applications quickly,” said Dion Harris, Head of Technology Marketing, HPC at NVIDIA. “Our collaboration with Rescale and Microsoft makes it simple for customers to accomplish their engineering and scientific breakthroughs faster and get the most value out of them.”

With Rescale, customers also have instant access to Microsoft Azure’s wide range of NVIDIA GPU-based instance families, including the new NDm A100 v4-series powered by NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs, to accelerate mission-critical HPC and AI workflows.

“Our customers look to us for holistic solutions that help them change the world,” said Andy Chan, Director, Azure Global Solutions, Semiconductor/EDA/CAE at Microsoft. “Rescale and NVIDIA are critical in helping Microsoft deliver the comprehensive end-to-end HPC and AI software and service workflows that leverage the enormous elasticity of the cloud.”

Accelerate HPC and AI Across Industries By Decreasing Simulation and Training Time

R&D professionals in industries like aerospace, automotive, energy, life sciences, manufacturing, and semiconductors are increasingly turning to NVIDIA GPU-accelerated solutions to minimize the time it takes to run simulations, explore design spaces, and train AI models. These technologies accelerate research outcomes through use cases such as computational fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, and the application of AI for R&D. As R&D professionals adopt GPU-powered solutions, the landscape of GPU-enabled software and specialized GPU hardware will continue to grow, which creates new complexity for R&D and IT professionals to navigate. Rescale is committed to working with NVIDIA and Microsoft on streamlined HPC and AI solutions that are turnkey simple for customers to deploy.

In the coming weeks, Rescale will kick off a series of engaging content, in collaboration with NVIDIA and Microsoft, including webinars, demos, and whitepapers to highlight customer success stories and demonstrate how easy it is to get started with next-generation digital R&D.
