Rescale Achieves AWS Government Competency Partner Status

As an AWS Government Competency Partner, Rescale helps government agencies drive digital modernization to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other key technology advancements

Rescale, a leader in mission-ready secure supercomputing, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Government Competency Partner status. This designation recognizes that Rescale has successfully met AWS’s requirements for demonstrated experience in delivering high performance computing (HPC) services.

As an AWS Government Competency Partner, Rescale helps government agencies securely and transparently meet mandates, manage costs, drive efficiencies, and increase innovation across civilian agencies, national defense departments, intelligence communities, research labs, and government systems integrators, as well as state and local governments.

Public sector organizations must balance the need to adopt new technologies for increasing their agility, security, compliance, and reliability. At the same time, they are focused on upgrading aging infrastructures while operating within budgetary constraints.

Government agencies are facing rapidly increasing volumes of data used to make decisions and improve operations. To keep up with this expansion of data, major government agencies like the US Department of Energy, the US Department of Defense, and many others have launched digital modernization and transformation initiatives to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other key technology advancements.

Rescale Provides Unique Support for Public Sector HPC

To meet these rapidly evolving needs of the public sector, Rescale launched the first authorized HPC cloud platform for government agencies, achieving FedRAMP Moderate Authority to Operate in 2022.

Rescale’s Government platform automates and centralizes how government agencies can manage high performance computing from cloud service providers, making it fast and easy for federal, state, and county agencies to securely accelerate their digital transformation efforts.

Recale AWS Government Competency Partners have the technical experience and operational process capabilities specific to AWS to support government agency requirements. Achieving the AWS Government Competency Partner status differentiates Rescale as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member with essential competencies to assist AWS customers.

To receive the AWS Government Competency Partner designation, AWS partners must undergo rigorous technical validation and provide vetted customer references.

“Rescale is strongly committed to driving innovation in the public sector with the most secure HPC platform available,” says Derek McCoy, vice president of channel, enterprise, and public sector. “We’re proud to achieve AWS Government Competency Partner status and be recognized for our deep domain experience with government HPC needs.”

AWS and Rescale for Government Cloud HPC

AWS offers a wide-range of scalable, flexible, and cost-effective cloud services for startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of cutting-edge technologies in public sector agencies, the AWS Competency Program helps organizations identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

Rescale’s Government platform is the first and only HPC platform that delivers the scalability of the cloud with enhanced security, compliance, transparency, and budgetary controls. Rescale helps IT and R&D leaders manage costs and risks while powering new innovations through the digital transformation of HPC operations.

Scientists and engineers across the public sector rely on the Rescale platform to run 1,000+ commercial and open source HPC applications and AI workflows. The platform supports critical research and development in domains like computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, electronic design automation, weather research and forecasting, machine learning, production workloads, and many others. These HPC use cases and many others are powered on the Rescale platform by the latest Amazon EC2 instances (available within AWS GovCloud regions).
