Last updated: June 1, 2022

Overview

Job comments allow you to interact with your team directly in the Rescale platform using free text. In comments, you can also tag other jobs and team members in order to share information quicker.

How to comment on a job

In the Comments section, you can use markdown or free text in the text box to create new comments. Select the Comment button when you are finished writing your comment.

Once you mention a user in a comment, they will receive an email from Rescale with the mention and a link to the job.

Note that you must share the job with the tagged user if they are not already a collaborator in order for them to see the comment. If you try to tag someone in a comment on a job they are not already part of, you will receive the following error notification:

If this occurs, click the error message to go to the Share Job settings.

When the tagged user with access to the job clicks the link to the comment, they will be directed to the platform where the comment will be outlined so they can easily find where they were tagged.

Linking jobs

You can link a job by typing the # symbol in the Comments section and then starting to type the job name.
